Tombola Bingo have recently launched a new social application 'mytombola' on their main website tombola.co.uk that allows players to post their status (what they are doing/thinking), upload up to six pictures, and add other bingo players to their friends list so that they can easily follow their status updates.
In a similar move to Wink Bingo who recently launched their popular WinkME social site, tombola have come up with a less fully fledged social site, this time mimicking the social site twitter (you can follow groovy bingo on twitter), which has taken the internet by storm (WinkMe's social site is more comparable to the popular social site Facebook). The popularity of such social sites where users can leave their thoughts for others to see is the simplicity in use, something 'mytombola' achieves extremely well.

While many bingo sites try and provide a 'bingo community' section, very few actually provide anything useful or anything of a 'community'. Tombola and Wink Bingo are no doubt being watched very closely by their competitors with great interest right now as they look to expand on their community sites and how they can keep bingo players coming back.
