Barack Obama's British stepmother (Kezia Obama) is working with Gala Bingo to release 'Mrs Obama's Bingo' in honour of Barack Obama's upcoming inauguration, and to help promote the cause of the Sue Ryder Care foundation.
Mrs Obama who lives in Bracknell, Berks, is a keen bingo fan and a regular player. Seizing on the publicity that will be surrounding Barack Obama with his inauguration next week, Mrs Obama described the event as a positive way to celebrate Mr Obama's inauguration.
Between the 14th and 23rd January you will be able to join Gala Bingo every evening to play in one of our Mrs Obama's Bingo games and they'll donate 10p of every £1 spent! Between 8pm and 9pm on weekdays, and 7pm and 8pm on weekends!
To help raise money for Sue Ryder Care, play in the City Club between 8pm and 9pm from the 14th January to the 23rd January.
Kezia Obama married the politician's father, Barack Obama Snr in a traditional Kenyan ceremony in 1957. They later had a child but together, however the marriage was to be short lived after Barack Obama Snr was awarded a place at the University of Hawaii. Barack Obama Snr left his wife and child in 1959 in order to attend studies. It was here that he met his future wife Ann Dunham. Barack Obama Snr remarried despite already being married under Kenyan law to Kezia.
